Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for debottlenecking of pipelines.
Client has issued the invitation to tender for the main contract on this scheme. The final date for submitting clarification requests is 17 February 2020. Contractors are required to submit technical bids by 5 March 2020 and commercial bids by 6 April 2020.
The following high-level activities are part of the South Grid Debottlenecking Phase 2 project Scope of Work:
Installation of new 32” loopline (32.2 Km approx.) from existing Pig Receiver area at BVS-09 to BVS-10. The new 32” Loop line shall be connected to existing 32” loop line at BVS-09 location.
Existing Pig receiver (A-10203) and associated piping & instrumentation at BVS-09 location shall be demolished. Only the pig receiver at BVS-09 (A-10203) shall be re-used at the existing BVS10 location.
Installation of new 32” loopline from BVS-17 to Raysut termination point (175.6 Km approx.) on the existing 24” South Grid Gas Pipeline to Salalah including launcher and Receiver traps.
A new 20” gas supply line connection shall be provided from Rabab header to the new 32” loopline at downstream of BVS-18A.
A new 20” gas supply line connection shall be provided from the new 32” loopline at BVS-22B upstream to Mirbat pipeline inlet at the Receiver A-10401 upstream bypass line with a 20” future connection.
Installation of new 6 numbers of Block valve stations (BVS) on the new 32’’ loop line between BVS-17 to Raysut termination point.
New 32" Loop line-2 shall be connected to existing 24" pipelines at Raysut termination point. The
Tie-in shall be as follows:
Tie-in by hot tapping on the existing 24” Rich gas line to SLPG.
Tie-in by hot tapping on the existing 24” Lean gas line from SLPG to SGSS.
Pressure Control Valves shall be provided on the 24” line to SGSS to let down the rich gas pressure to downstream lean gas header pressure.
Power supply, control and telecom system (integrated system) modification for the 32” new loop lines. CP system for the new 32” looplines.
New 72 core FOC cable along with 32” loop lines (BVS-9 to BVS-10, BVS-17 to Salalah GSS).
Implementation of pipeline leak detection system (LDS) for the new 32” looplines (BVS-9 to BVS10, BVS-17 to Salalah GSS), LDS shall be limited to filed side instruments.
For all the existing BVS’s in the project scope, the existing fences shall be replaced with PDO Type-A.
Future connection for envisaged new gas supply line (PDO Tayesser) between BVS-17 and BVS-18.
Installation of Instrument Gas system including minimum but not limited to inline IG filters, PCV’s, Instrument Gas buffer vessel, associated instruments and piping with heat tracing to avoid hydrate
formation and to maintain required temperature 10 deg C above dew point. Additional land development by Contractor BVS9, BVS10, BVS17, BVS18, BVS19, BVS20, BVS21, BVS22, BVS23 and Raysut Termination point.

Control & Automation works as stipulated later in this scope & detailed in the specifications & drawings in C-6 of this tender.
Telecom works as stipulated later in this scope & detailed in the specifications & drawings in C6 of this tender.
Piping works as stipulated later in this scope & detailed in the specifications & drawings in C-6 of this tender.
Electrical works as stipulated later in this scope & detailed in the specifications & drawings in C6 of this tender.
Civil works as stipulated later in this scope & detailed in the specifications & drawings in C-6 of this tender.
All associated equipment as stipulated later in the Scope.
Interconnection of New Pipelines with the existing 24’’ P/L shall be provided at all BVS stations.
The full tender will be issued to interested tenderers after receipt of the Tender Fee payment along with the duly filled app
