OctoberThe square, designed by Ahmed Mohammed al Ghadhami, Omaima Mahmoud al Hinai, and Abdullah Saleh al Bahri. The design won the first Bilarab Bin Haitham Award for Architectural Design, which was held at the Royal Opera House Muscat.

DecemberClient has invited bids for the Muttrah Square project, which proposes to revamp the iconic area in Muscat completely. As per the Royal Orders of His Majesty the Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Muscat Municipality as the implementer of the project called for tenders for its construction. All the famous landmarks of Muttrah will be visible from the bridge. The arch bridge will be surrounded by a plaza having a dancing fountain, retail stores and cafés lit by lights blending with the waves of the sea.

The bond shall be (1%) of the tender value
