JulyGalfar Engineering & Contracting SAOG has been awarded the main contract worth RO 16.145 million. A 18-months timeframe has been specified for the completion of the project.
- 19th
SeptemberThe Muscat Municipality, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence, will begin work to make the road extending from Muaskar Al Murtafa Roundabout to the intersection of Sultan Qaboos University a dual carriageway, along with the construction of intersections and a system for the drainage of surface water.

DecemberConstruction works are currently in progress on this scheme.
