UK-based Petrofac has been awarded the EPCM contract on this project. Project scope of work involves the development of 16 gas producing wells and export of the production to the Saih Rawl Central Processing Plant. The project will be integrated with Mabrouk North East Line Pipe Procurement Project, which was awarded to Petrofac in June 2019. The duration of the project is 34 months.
Construction works are currently in progress on this scheme.
India’s Larsen & Toubro Hydrocarbon Engineering (LTHE) has emerged as frontrunner to win an estimated $100m contract for installation of line pipes at the Mabrouk gas field. The Mabrouk North East line pipe project, undertaken by majority state-owned PDO, calls for laying of line pipes at the onshore field development, along with drilling for 16 gas-producing wells and construction of other associated facilities.
