MarchOman Dates Production & Packaging and Oasis Grace have signed an agreement for site preparation contract to set up a dates factory in Al Rumais in Barka. The agreement stipulates the establishment of a factory on an area of 100,000sq m. The production capacity of the factory in the first stage will reach 30,000 tonnes annually, in the second stage it will reach 50,000 tonnes, and the last stage 80,000 tonnes. It plans to build six collection centres in six governorates in addition to the main factory which aims to collect, store and extract raw materials, re-manufacture, package and market locally and globally. The cost of the project in the first stage is RO28mn.
